Duties & Responsibilities:

Shift Inspector- responsible to the quality manager for inspection of parts and processes taking place on the shop floor. The shift inspector’s duties and authority include:

• Performing machine setup, in process and final inspections of parts to be processed. Complete and stamp the areas of the traveler upon completion of each inspection operation that he/she is responsible for.
• Performing and recording process control inspections at the frequency required for each machine/job.
• Notifying the quality manager of any problems or nonconformance that affect the quality of parts being processed.
• Performing any additional duties that are delegated to him/her by the quality manager.
• Preventing any additional duties that are delegated to him/her by the quality manager.
• Preventing the recurrence of nonconformities by identification, segregation, reporting, initiating corrective action and verifying the corrective action.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
